HSBC Insurance, UK are responsible for the manufacturing, sourcing and supply of insurance products and services for HSBC UK, first direct, M&S Bank and Commercial Banking, with external distribution for several product lines under both the HSBC and other brands.

Reporting to the Chief Distribution Officer, in this role you will identify protection market trends, strategic Distribution opportunities and build distribution plans in the UK Protection intermediary market including, nationals and networks, regional companies, holistic Adviser firms and strategic partners. You will be working in a growing business and a strong brand with international reach. You will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and help grow penetration into the UK Insurance Protection market.

In this role you will:

·  Lead a team of BDMs, both mobile and remote, to support and grow our intermediary footprint within the UK
·  Support other business units with a strong emphasis on the management of UK distributor firms and their fit with HSBC values and requirements
·  Be the face of HSBC Protection Proposition in the marketplace.
·  Represent HSBC life at industry events and on panels
·  Drive and look to increase market share and presence in the marketplace

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·  Proven experience working with the intermediary/broker market
·  Previous experience within the life insurance market
·  Experience of leading a team
·  Strong negotiation and influencing skills
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills

This role is based in Flexible - Hybrid.
