Role Purpose
The individual will be responsible for the definition, management, control, integrity, data quality measurement and maintenance of Global Banking customer data.

Main responsibilities will be:
· Build a regional data capability through awareness, training, and stakeholder engagement
· Oversee the overall maintenance and maturity of data quality across GBM business and functions
· Oversee the delivery of data initiatives (across the RBPM) to ensure alignment and conformance to data policies and standards
· Provide data consultancy and support to stakeholders across the project lifecycle
· Support business and data quality teams to perform tactical and strategic resolution facilitation of high priority data related issues. –
· Work with business categories and prioritize data initiatives across GBM business and functions

Principal Accountabilities
Overall Accountabilities
· Oversee implementation and ongoing adherence to GBM Data Policies and standards through the use of best practices, methodologies, and templates
· Work with GBM Regional CDO's, stakeholders and business SME's to identify and ensure policies and standards reflect the business needs.
· Work with CDO Mexico on the definition and testing of Data Quality Rules for all CDEs identified
· Work with Data Readiness on the cleansing and alignment of information in both IDQ client list and local client list
· Identification, design and implementation of data quality controls, metrics and reporting of data quality issues
· Ensure that reports containing customer information have the appropriate quality and are fit for purpose
· Perform root cause analysis on Data Quality issues

Impact on the Business
· Partner with business to identify and solve data quality issues, new business initiatives and existing and new regulations

Customers / Stakeholders
· Build trusting relationships with business stakeholders by consistently eliciting requirements that meet and deliver upon their business needs. Stakeholders include Global Banking, Global Markets, HSS, Compliance, Finance, Risk, IT.
· Ensure requirements coming from multiple areas are aligned and conflicts are resolved effectively.
Drive a culture of data quality and incorporate use of best practice, methodologies, and templates into standard technology and process change initiatives

Operational Effectiveness & Control
· Drive a culture of data quality and incorporate use of best practices, methodologies and templates into standard technology and process change initiatives
Reduce ambiguity of data capture, resulting in improvements to consistent and standardised data.
