Role Purpose

· HSBC's goal is to re-imagine banking and build world class banking services for customers across the world. This means continuing to enhance a strong and secure brand that is willing and able to evolve in rapidly changing world – especially in response to digital technology. In the past twelve months, RBWM Digital has made significant progress in setting up a brand new digital organisation and ways of working which supports this goal. Seven functions have been created to support our goal to become a fully formed digital organization - the largest one being HSBC Digital Solutions (HDS).
· Ongoing organisational evolution will take place during 2018 - so that we can increase the volume of digital products and features delivered (more features, more markets) and ensure that these are being fully adopted and used by existing/new customers. It is critical that these changes are communicated effectively within Digital and across broader organization.
· An experienced visual designer is required to support the development and delivery of creative projects and impactful presentations for RBWM Digital in line with the Digital Engagement Strategy and Plans. Reporting into the Global Head of Digital Engagement, the successful candidate will be responsible for the look and feel of internal and external presentations /other assets produced for RBWM Digital, creating outstanding communication assets which drive high levels of audience engagement and measurable impact.

Key Accountabilities

· Design and produce highly creative, impactful PowerPoint presentations for a wide range of digital engagement activities and events.
· Analyse information from a range of internal and external sources to improve the quality and impact of creative solutions – ensuring key messages are accurately conveyed through the design.
· Support the wider engagement team, making recommendations and providing solution proposals in response to communication requirements
· Collaborate and co-create communications solutions with 3rd party design agencies when required/ for specific projects. Includes sourcing imagery.
· Create images, charts and info graphics to effectively communicate key messages and which can be incorporated into presentations
· Produce HTML/JPEG designs for outlook invitations/ newsletters
· Undertaken design and artwork for printed assets such as leaflets/ invitations/ brochures/ coverage boards

Operational Effectiveness & Control

· Production of assets which support achievement of staff engagement objectives and metrics
· Identification of key risks, issues and interdependencies - providing appropriate mitigation strategies or escalating as appropriate.
· Delivery of projects to agreed timescales and budgets

Major Challenges

· Translation of technical / complex information from different stakeholders into meaningful impactful content and communications
· Ability to work with limited or ambiguous information – applying experience, best practice or new insights to determine viable solutions

Qualifications :

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

·  Experience working as a designer in a fast-paced environment (within the digital industry is a plus)
·  Knowledge of PowerPoint, Prezi and Keynote
·  Advanced Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator/PowerPoint/Word essential
·  Ability to handle a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously
·  Sharp eye for layout consistency for format, and amazing attention to detail
·  Commitment to responsiveness, high quality work, confidentiality and customer service
·  Good artistic eye and an understanding of the design requirements of a project
·  Effective communication and collaboration skills

· Can-do attitude, flexibility and delivery focussed against tight deadlines
