Equity Derivatives Trader, HSBC Bank USA N.A., New York, NY:

 

Provide accurate primary and secondary quotations of structured products for institutional and retail clients. Initiate and lead the IT developments to further automate processes applied on the desk. Maintain financial risks with predefined trading limits. Maintain appropriate and smooth communication with Structuring, Sales, and other trading teams. Enhance the current hedging processes. Responsible for complex financial instruments traded on the desk and their associated risks in order to put in place the optimal hedges. Maintain financial instruments to be used in the hedging activity (Options, Swaps, Forwards, Futures, and more complex products).

 

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, Pay range: $250,000 to $260,000 per year.

Requirements

Must have a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a closely related field and 4 years of related work experience.

 

Must have 4 years of experience in:

·         Equity derivatives: pricing, trade booking processes, risk management, inventory management, and compliance;

·         Trading within non-linear products (volatility and variance swaps), listed options, and stocks;

·         Handling or managing Equity Derivatives instruments; and,

·         Programming experience in VBA and Python in the context of equity derivatives.

Must have 3 years of experience in backtesting financial strategies using Python.

 
Must have FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
