Job description



Role Purpose:

The Senior Business Manager role has ownership of Financial oversight and reporting and oversight of Resource Planning and Management for CM&D. The role also encompasses ownership of Function and Investment Governance Management for areas such as Financials, Business Continuity Planning & Resources. The role is responsible for budgets, management information and reporting that allows the efficient running of CM&D as part of the wider HSS business.

The role holder will ensure the HSBC values are present in everything we do, both individually and as an

Responsibilities:

· Ownership and Management of Total AOP for Change Management & Delivery

· Ownership of rolling AOP plan for future years and of AOP split by MTB / CTB and associated project splits

· Ownership of cross functional recharges and VAT

· Support and Guidance on AOP updates, controls, risks and issues

· Provision of regular management MI including Actuals, Forecast and Executive commentary

· Relationship management with LT members and support of financials targets

· Owns relationship with Finance and associated inputs to rolling Forecast process

· Owns the relationship with Global PMO to ensure project reporting and alignment to AOP

· Ownership of Business Continuity Plan for Change Management & Delivery (UK-Edinburgh only)

· Owns relationship with Risk & Compliance to ensure aligned to requirements and standards

· Ownership of centralised resource Database, including employment data, contract end dates, assignments etc.

· Provision of informative resource MI to support resource Demand Management (PMO)

· Ongoing relationship management for provision of resources to support resource augmentation model for function

· Ownership of Invoicing Processes for all 3rd party invoicing

· Ownership of risks associated to areas of responsibility, covering Resources, Financials, Project Accounting, Forecasting, Business Continuity

· Ownership of appropriate governance requirements for areas of responsibility - predominantly Financials, BC Planning & Resources provision

· Provision for of appropriate communications data into wider CMD communications plan

· Defining of financial controls associated to spend within Total AOP

· Support PMO in implementation of financial control, aligned to overall governance frameworks

· Responsibility for accuracy and relevance of all data for areas of responsibility

· Support PMO / Project Managers in completion of Feasibility Studies

· Provide advice and guidance on cost aspects of Feasibility Studies"

· Support PMO / Project Managers in completion of Business Cases

· Provide advice and guidance on cost aspects of Business Cases

Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

A Qualifications & Experience:

1. A high quality degree level education – highly desirable

2. Possession of a relevant business analysis qualification - desirable

3. A professional accounting or finance qualification (eg ACCA) – advantageous

4. Significant experience in financial services.

5. Demonstrated experience in Business Management analysis roles

6. Experience of working in a large organisation.
