Role Summary/Purpose

The Systems & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning and fault finding for the full range of hardware and software products in the BHGE Bently Nevada business portfolio. Primarily customers will be associated with the Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries internationally and may be located both onshore and offshore.
Essential Responsibilities

Key Roles and responsibilities:
• Have high focus on safety against people, environment and equipment.
• Proactive anticipate in driving our safety culture forward
• Make sure you have all valid certificates in place to conduct service onshore/offshore.
• Anticipate in a good working environment and being a good team member
• Take responsibility in your own and the teams learning.
• Follow administration processes & tools, including but not limited to SAP, payroll, EHS training and T&L Concur updated in a timely manner.

• Installation and commissioning of Bently Nevada hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot existing Bently Nevada hardware and software installations on-site.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of computer based products, including Networks, Cybersecurity and Systems Integration in an environment of Industrial Automation and Control.
• Provide technical assistance to customers on site as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer employees as needed.
• Supervise mechanical and electrical sub-trades, and machine disassembly/reassembly.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and acquire customer's signature on timesheets before leaving the job site.
• Write accurate and detailed reports after completion of each job per applicable procedures and policies.
• Maintain a working and operational knowledge of all Bently Nevada hardware and software.
• Monitor and manage site safety requirements during job execution.
• Anticipate in delivery and development of customer training courses and carry out internal & external customer training.
• Support sales as needed to prepare offers to existing and potential customers. Support sales organization and anticipate in customer meetings
• Assist in knowledge transfer into the organization based on customer feedback, field work and experience.

• Travelling to within Central Europe, with occasional international assignments will be required, including to onshore or offshore job locations with variable duration.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Electrical or Electronics Information Technology engineering / Instrumentation
• 2-5 years’ experience with rotating equipment in the oil & gas and/or Power generation sectors.
• Proficiency in both English and Slovakian languages is required. Ability to speak other European language considered a merit.
• Ability to travel on short notice

• Experience with vibration analysis & Condition monitoring
• Experience with Bently Nevada or other vibration monitoring Technology
