Role Summary/Purpose
The Balance Support Engineer will be responsible for engineering activities associated with preparing materials and documentation for the balance of turbine and generator rotors.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Balance Support Engineer, you will:
· Prepare balancing and testing documentation
· Create, modify, and validate design of required fixtures, tools, and equipment
· Be expected to resolve problems through the application of expertise guided by precedent
· Work together with people from within the business unit
· Communicate with the balance team, supervisor, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
· Support and conduct moment weighing, frequency testing, and balancing activities.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering or related field
· Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or engineering related experience
