Where the Chemistry Happens…

Machine Operator (1903163) - Amherst, NY

We’re looking for a Machine Operator responsible to assist in the execution of daily production schedule. This will include: ensuring a safe working environment, monitoring product quality, packaging of finished product, raw material transportation and 5S projects.

Your responsibilities would also include:

Production Duties:

Ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Comply with all Safety Regulations, including, Safe Work Permits, training requirements, and use of PPE and other safety equipment.
Monitor product quality and ensure it meets the specifications.
Perform packaging functions.
Maintain spare parts inventories, support inventory cycle counts, ensure inventory counts and reporting are correct, maintain MRO parts inventory and other department programs.
Setup, maintain and program the line equipment.
Continually maintain the plant for cleanliness and organization.
Rotate job positions to ensure ergonomic safety rules are followed.
Support 5S activities.
Complete paper work and batch tickets timely and accurately.
Complete all company required training timely as needed.
Other duties assigned

Forklift Duties:

Safely operate the forklift at all times.
Complete required safety checklist daily and ensure safe working condition of the forklifts.
Monitor product quality and ensure it meets the specifications.
Stage raw materials for production process.
Complete certification course required.
Comply with all Safety Regulations.
Accurately record data as needed.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For In You… Basic qualifications:

·  High School degree or equivalent required
·  At least 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
·  At least 1 year of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment
