Job description
In the Advanced Materials & Systems Research Division, our multifaceted team works together to develop functional materials and systems for high-performance, innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers in various different industries. At the same time, we meet the legal and economic requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
During this 6 months internship in Tarrytown/New York, starting in 2020, you will support the work on method development under supervision for a research funding project for process analytics.
· You will learn to work independently and diligently in a professional environment.
· You will be using state-of-the-art technologies to help establishing analytical methods
· Furthermore, you will help optimizing methods for production/process samples to assess the possibility of transferring the method to production sites.
· You will take responsibility for your working results right from the start of your internship.
QUALIFICATIONS
· You are currently enrolled in your master studies in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering at a European university where you showed an above average performance.
· Ideally, you have lab working experience.
· You have already had the opportunity to gather practical experience abroad and are able to communicate in English. Speaking an additional foreign language will be considered a plus.
· In addition, you are an innovative team-player, who seeks creative solutions to chemical problems.
