What you can expect

As a Buyer for Indirect Procurement, you will report to the Procurement Hub South - West for Italy.

·  For assigned categories, you will provide strategy development: select preferred buying channels, define content of buying guide.
·  You will be responsible for negotiation & contract award: determine optimal negotiation / award alternative, award goods / services package to supplier(s), if RfX result within defined boundaries and targets, otherwise seek approval from Category Manager.
·  You will provide knowledge of the local market analysis to European/Global Categories, as well as cultural and linguistic support, compliance with local regulations.
·  You will be the primary contact for internal Business Partners at assigned sites, and you will act as escalation point for plants and Shared Service Center in expediting issues.
·  You understand their needs, follow their projects and coordinate projects investments in agreement with global and regional buyers.

What we expect

·  You should be educated to degree level, preferably in an engineering or science-based subject.
·  You gained at least 1-2 years' experience in purchasing or in a technical department, within an international environment and a chemical specialty business.
·  You are self-motivated and conscientious, you own first class negotiation, decision-making and communication skills.
·  You speak fluent Italian and English.
·  Some foreign travel is expected.
