Job Description: Human Resources Intern

 

Internships with Allianz Partners consist of a ten-week program focused on giving students the opportunity to gain business knowledge and experience. The program generally follows a project- management methodology that allows each intern to manage a project within a specific department. In addition, interns participate in lunch-and-learn, networking and mentoring opportunities.

 

The program begins Monday, June 3, 2024, and ends Friday, August 9, 2024. The work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Essential Job Functions (other duties may be assigned)

·  Support our HR team with initiatives, research and evaluations to improve our processes.
·  Evaluate our certification programs. Research different program’s criteria and create processes and policies.
·  Collaborate with HR team members to design, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives and solutions.
·  Document updated processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow diagrams to ensure clarity and consistency.
·  Assist with our 2025 open enrollment strategies by analyzing competitor’s benefits and researching market history
·  Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the HR department by encouraging feedback, fostering innovation, and recognizing contributions to process optimization.
·  Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of process improvement initiatives, project plans, status updates, and performance metrics.
·  Prepare and present reports to communicate progress, achievements, and insights related to process improvement projects.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a college junior or senior, pursuing a degree. The preferred major(s) for this position: Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership or related field.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·  Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
·  Flexibility: ability to adapt to on-going change and work in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment.
·  Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
·  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
·  MS Teams and SAP SuccessFactors (would be helpful but not required)
