We are looking for a Claims Delegated Authorities Manager (m/f/d), based in Munich or London

Our team is committed to facilitate relationsihps and arrangements with Third Party Administrators, MGAs and other Facility partners. We are dedicated to centrally support our Claims Business Owner in the regional Line of Business with this growing part of the business and by ensuring an efficient and compliant Governance process throughout the lifecycle of a Facility.  

 

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Claims Strategic Partnership Manager, you will manage various types of Claims Delegated Authority relationships (e.g. stand-alone, Facilities including MGAs, Panels or Bancassurance, Captive Fronting and global projects) on a global level from an end-to-end perspective and ensure compliance with both regulatory requirements, Allianz’ internal standards and Claims philosophy. You will closely work with the Claims Business Owners across various Lines of Business and jurisdictions and support them with the handling of various Governance and Compliance requirements throughout the lifetime of the Delegated Authority.  

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

·  Screen third parties targeted to perform Delegated Claims Handling in order to ensure compliance with Allianz’ standards, Claims philosophy and legal requirements. Evaluate third party’s capability and consult and guide Claims Business Owner where required. Together with the Claims Business Owner, sign off on the delegation of authority and level of financial authority granted and document the rationale. Ensuring claims due diligence is documented and kept up to date on a regular basis.  
·  Lead contract negotiations from a Claims perspective and ensure both Allianz’ and regulatory requirements are adequately reflected, manage regular contract reviews and renewals resp. termination.  
·  Coordinate the audit process, review and document audit results and support Business Owner in following up on those.  
·  Support business Owner during transition of terminated relationships.  
·  Establish and maintain good rapport with Delegated Claims Administrators other stakeholders, especially the Claims Business Owner, Underwriting and Outsourcing.  
·  Regularly challenge and re-think existing processes and standards together with Claims Governance & Integrity in order to ensure both best-in-class and efficient procedures are utilized for this growing part of the business.  

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

·  Experience as a (Claims) Delegated Authority Manager or as a Senior Claims Handler who has worked extensively with Delegated Authority arrangements  
·  Experience with London-market and overseas delegated authority arrangements  
·  Strong problem-solving and communication skills, Customer-mindest, strong cooperative approach  
·  Good understanding of Claims requirements (min 5 years)  
·  Transitioning Individuals, teams and the whole organization: Manage to put the transitioning of individuals and teams into action.  
·  Ability to work in an international environment and outstanding inter-cultural skills
