We are looking for a Senior Operations / Finance Analst (m/f/d), based in Zurich (Wallisellen) or London.

The Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) line of business of Allianz Commercial creates innovative tailored structured insurance, captive reinsurance, and other non-traditional risk management solutions for a wide range of corporate and financial clients globally. We specialize in helping our customers mitigate their most complex risks with bespoke multi-year and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in alternative risk transfer and the global capabilities of the Allianz Group.  

 

The Impact You Will Have

 

Reporting to the Global Head of ART Lob Deal Services, you will take ownership for, and oversight of, the Strategic Fronting Portfolio within the Allianz ART Lob, provider of innovative solutions as an alternative to, or enhancement of, conventional insurance. The Deal Services Lead – Strategic Fronting is responsible for all processes with respect to the Strategic Fronting Portfolio post-binding, and management of team members allocated to these programs. Processes include overall monitoring & tracking of program features, systems entry and policy administration, and interaction with internal and external counterparties. Oversight includes responsibilities such as performing four eyes controlling in review cycles, portfolio level controlling of impact on profit & loss statements and coordinating oversight of day-to-day tasks of assigned team members. The Deal Services Lead – Strategic Fronting is expected to proactively drive improvements in underlying processes, to improve team effectiveness and efficiency.  

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

 

·  Take ownership of a portfolio of bound transactions, and onboarding of new transactions.  
·  Take ownership of processes within the team including monitoring of existing team members & processes, and evolving needs.  
·  Work closely with underwriters on Program Management  
·  Coordinate with finance colleagues on booking activity.  
·  Collaborate with claims colleagues on overall deal management.  
·  Communicate well and respond timely with brokers and clients.   
·  Review of quarterly controls for assigned portfolio, covering all transactional aspects.  
·  Proactively drive review and resolution of outstanding items within quarterly cycles.  
·  Independently drive resolution of assigned projects.  
·  Support definition, and subsequently drive implementation of future projects.  

 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

 

·  Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in either insurance operations or insurance accounting / finance. 
·  Multiple years’ experience managing underwriting operations and knowledge of support tools, document management, tracking, informing, early warning, and system entry recording.  
·  Data protection knowledge, especially in relation to information acquisition and transfer.  
·  Ability to work in an international environment and outstanding inter-cultural skills  
·  Outstanding analytical skills with ability to analyze complex data / information from multiple sources 
·  Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally; ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story  
·  Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority Experience in managing complex projects, ideally across international organizations  
·  Strong solution orientated
