FUNCTIEOMSCHRIJVING
De focus van de Supply Chain afdeling ligt op het creëren van een zo effectief en efficiënt mogelijke keten van producten van de leverancier tot aan de klant of eindconsument. De​ afdeling Supply Chain richt zich op alle aspecten van de keten, waarbij het doel is om de behoeften van de klant te overtreffen. De afdeling coördineert de logistieke uitdagingen waar Unilever mee te maken heeft en draagt zorg over de kwaliteit en kosten van de grondstoffen en het verpakkingsmateriaal. Het Supply Chain team zorgt voor een goede band met leveranciers en richt zich hierbij ook op de duurzame groei en technologische innovatie.

Je komt op de Supply Chain afdeling in een team met verschillende nationaliteiten. In deze stage heb je daarnaast ook veel contact met verschillende afdelingen om er voor te zorgen dat alles in goede banen verloopt.

Tijdens je stage wordt er van je verwacht dat je ondersteunend bent aan activiteiten zoals het verbeteren en ontwikkelen van producten en processen en de inkoop van grondstoffen op een efficiënte manier. Je wordt verantwoordelijk voor projecten met betrekking tot veiligheid, gezondheid en duurzaamheid. Het is dus van belang dat je kritisch en analytisch kan denken. Ruimte voor input is altijd welkom en adviezen worden daarin altijd gewaardeerd.

WAT WIJ VRAGEN
· Je dient ingeschreven te staan bij een hbo- of wo-opleiding bij voorkeur in de richting van Logistiek
· Je bent per maart 2019 beschikbaar voor 6 maanden
· Je spreekt en schrijft vloeiend Nederlands en Engels, sommige stages zijn volledig in het Engels
· Je durft zelf verbeteringen voor te stellen en bent analytisch en communicatief sterk
· Je bent ervaren in Microsoft Office Programma´s, met name Excel

Je werkt op het kantoor van Unilever Nederland in Rotterdam. Iedere dag gebruiken twee miljard mensen producten van Unilever, van voedingsmiddelen tot zeep, shampoos en producten voor de dagelijkse huishoudelijke verzorging. Supply Chain internship at Unilever in Rotterdam

JOB DESCRIPTION
The focus of the Supply Chain department is to create the most effective and efficient chain of products from the supplier to the customer or end consumer. The Supply Chain department focuses on all aspects of the chain, where the goal is to exceed the customer's needs. The department coordinates the logistical challenges that Unilever has to deal with and cares about the quality and costs of the raw materials and the packaging material. The Supply Chain team ensures a good relationship with suppliers and also focuses on sustainable growth and technological innovation.

The Supply Chain department is a team with several nationalities. So a good addition to your international experience. During your internship you will also have a lot of contact with different departments to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

During your internship, you will be expected to support activities such as improving and developing products and processes and the purchase of raw materials in an efficient manner. You will be responsible for projects related to safety, health and sustainability. It is therefore important that you can think critically and analytically. You input will always be welcome and your advice will always be much appreciated.

WHAT WE ASK

· You are a Bachelor or Master student in Supply Chain, Logistics or a similar study
· You are available from March 2019
· You are willing to work at least 32 hours a week
· Fluency in English is required, other languages are an advantage
· You dare to suggest improvements and have strong analytical and communication skills
· You're a pro in Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel
