We are commited to creating innovative, high-quality gaming experiences. To help us achieve this goal, we are looking for an  Animator [Ubisoft Escape Games] (f/m/d) who will be responsible for bringing our games to life with stunning, high quality animations. 

 

This position will be located at Ubisoft Blue Byte, Düsseldorf (Germany).

Responsibilities:

·  Deliver qualitative animation assets in line with the artistic vision of the game
·  Drive improvement of animation standards and processes
·  Motion editing within complex animation systems
·  Collaborate with the Art team to create animations that fit the visual style of the project
·  Provide testing and feedback for complex character skinning
·  Provide knowledge and solutions for animation problems
·  Set up animation state machines in Unity
·  Implement animations in Unity

Professional Experience:

·  At least two years experience in the Video Game industry with a strong understanding of keyframe animation, Motion capture and procedural animation
·  Working knowledge of Maya, 3DSMAX, and/or other commercial 3D authoring packages
·  A keen eye for motion and animation
·  Being able to work with a complex animation system and complex animation state machines
·  Understand typical work flows and tools in art production with the ability to modify make improvements
·  Great communication skills and a positive attitude
·  Autonomous, organized with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative
·  Strong Team Player
·  Fluent in English, both verbally and written.

Pluses:

·  Unity Knowledge
·  Experience in (and passion for) VR is a plus
·  Rigging skills

 

Portfolio Requirements

All portfolios must contain a detailed breakdown of the work. It must be very clear what you are responsible for in your reel, screenshots, scanned pictures, web page portfolio, etc.

·  Examples of character animation (full body motion, emotions etc.)
·  Examples of visual effects or environment animation
·  Examples of animation rigs and their functionality in a 3D package
·  Examples of animation style variety
