TechnipFMC Calorifuge team based in Paris, is looking for an intern Economic optimization of the insulation thicknesses.

Job description:

Insulation of pipings and equipment is a major task of TechnipFMC Oil & Gas projects. If the physics governing the thickness calculation is well known, there are many parameters influencing the economic optimization of the insulation thickness. What should be the best? A thick insulation limiting the heat loss and so the energy to be provided during the life time of the plant? But it requires more space and results in longer time for installation, higher purchasing cost and larger installation increasing the investment of our Customer.
And what is the difference between a project located in Arctic but assembled in Asia and a project for Africa fully assembled at site?

During the internship, the student will have to gather all available data from past experiences on actual projects and review the tool allowing to combine and take into account the different parameters. She or he will communicate with several department involved in projects.

Profil required :

Graduated from a BAC+5 at least fromUniversity with specialization of materials, general engineering schools (INSA, ENSI, Ecole Centrale, Mines)
You speak English fluent
You have office and data base skills with good communication and analytical mind.
