When you successfully complete yourTechnipFMCApprenticeship, you will achieve an NC and HNC in your chosen field and you will normally become a full-time employee ofTechnipFMC.

TechnipFMChas exciting Apprentice opportunities across the business within the following areas at their Dunfermline site:

Manufacturing

You will undertake a structured training programme of academic study and office and workshop training to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the production requirements of a world-leading oil and gas equipment supplier.

This will consist of a broad-based workshop-based apprenticeship where you will gain a wide range of practical skills which will include machining, weld and fabrication and assembly and test. Midway through your apprenticeship a decision will be made assessing your talents and the future needs of the business to decide on your specialisation for the remaining period of your apprenticeship. You will then deepen your skills and knowledge in allocated department for the remainder of your apprenticeship.

Technical Business

You will undertake a structured training programme of academic study and office and workshop training to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the production requirements of a world-leading oil and gas equipment supplier.

This will consist of a broad-based office-based apprenticeship with workshop knowledge building elements, where you will gain a wide range of skills from support areas around the business and a practical understanding from the production areas of the business. Midway through your apprenticeship a decision will be made assessing your talents and the future needs of the business to decide on your specialisation for the remaining period of your apprenticeship. You will then deepen your skills and knowledge in allocated department for the remainder of your apprenticeship.

CAD (Computer Aided Design)

You will undertake a structured training programme of academic study and office and workshop training to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the design and production requirements of a world-leading oil and gas equipment supplier.

This will consist of a office-based apprenticeship with workshop knowledge building elements, where you will gain the engineering skills and knowledge to become a Design Draughtsperson. Midway through your apprenticeship you will return to the CAD department to deepen your skills and knowledge in the CAD discipline.

Maintenance

You will undertake a structured training programme of academic study and workshop training to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the production requirements of a world-leading oil and gas equipment supplier.

This will consist of a broad based multi-disciplined apprenticeship, which will include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic elements to allow you to become an Engineering Maintenance Technician. You will undertake a structured training programme of academic study and workshop training to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the production requirements of a world-leading oil and gas equipment supplier.

What do you need?

You must have a minimum of four National Qualifications at level 5, four Standard Grades at credit level or equivalents, including English, Maths and a Science (Physics is preferred). Technical subjects would be an advantage.
