Responsibilities

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities :

Providing legal advice and assistance to Front Office representatives and other departments of the bank (under the supervision of senior members of the team) for and ensuring the transaction management of matters in relation to:

·  (i) debt instruments issuances (Notes/ warrants) distributed in Asia (ex Japan), and
·  (ii) (as necessary) asset management activities in Asia (ex Japan), including preparation of legal documentation (term sheets, final terms, other offering documents, other marketing materials, distribution agreements etc) relating thereto. It is an opportunity for a Junior Lawyer to be trained be exposed to structured products in a dynamic financial market environment. The candidate will gain hands-on experience with drafting legal documentation in relation to structured products and exposure to the innovative structures. The candidate will gain a solid understanding of the investment banking setup and acquire valuable interpersonal soft skills

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Profile Required

You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in international banking law / international business law

A' Level with major in mathematics preferred. Candidate should understand and not be afraid of mathematical formulae

Prior studies in common law subjects preferred.

Ideally you have past experience in investment banking/ financial institutions and/or experience with derivatives or equity/ commodity linked products is preferred.

You are fluent in English

You are proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, powerpoint)
