At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking in MADRID. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance. The VIE position is located within the Sovereign Advisory team working directly with sovereigns and public sector entities on a global basis. The department is a small, hands-on team within the Debt Capital Markets franchise which advises sovereign clients on their ratings strategies and investor credit positioning. The team is particularly active in emerging markets of Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe, as well as with eurozone sovereigns.
Mission
The VIE candidate will prepare analytical documents to be distributed to the team's clients, both within the SG group and among global sovereign and public sector clients. The candidate will prepare weekly documents with rating activity and monitor economic and credit developments among a group of key sovereigns with the objective of proposing strategies to the bank's clients. The candidate will work on specific client assignments according to the team's priorities.

Profile
You will work in a challenging environment, within a global team with front-office responsibilities vis-à-vis key clients. The candidate will develop an in-depth understanding of sovereign credit risk, economics, global politics and sovereign bond markets
Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in economics.
A previous experience in an international development organization would be appreciated.
You are fluent in English and Spanish.
You are proficient in Office application
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in MADRID is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months renewable.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
