What do you get to do in this position?

Responsibilities

· Review Open Order Report with suppliers and prioritize based on plant requirements
· Effective communication to internal customers regarding potential supply flow issues
· Responsible for purchase ordering flow to ensure the deliveries meet production requirements
· Proactively monitor and resolve potential material misses and track, expedite and micro-manage critical orders, resolve quality issues
· Responsible for resolving invoice discrepancies in conjunction with payables
· Responsible for maintaining Purchasing databases to ensure integrity of system data
· Participate in regular operations meeting – SIM (Short Interval Management)
· Maintain and enhance relationships with suppliers and contribute to the competitiveness of business by optimizing purchases
· Use Purchasing Tools to analyze, evaluate supplier performance KPI's & work with suppliers for improvements as necessary
· Support the deployment of corporate commodity strategies and contribute to Productivity saving and Rebalancing initiatives
· Participate in supplier selection and qualification; negotiate and manage contracts with local/specific suppliers as necessary
· Follow up on obtain credit notes related to quality issues
· Inventory Control
· Analyze price or quantity discrepancies and take actions on root cause.
· Assist Material Productivity Lead (MPL).
· Active in plant Schneider Production System (SPS) processes and maintain compliance with SPS requirements as assigned.

Qualifications

This job might be for you if You fit the following Requirements:

· Minimum two years of experience in Direct Purchasing

· Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or supply chain management

· Advanced skills with MS Office with particular focus on Excel and Access

· Experience using SAP or ERP`s

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if:

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain or Business from a top University
·  Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience
·  Strong purchasing / strategic sourcing background with proven successes in developing and implementing purchasing plans.
·  Self-driven / motivated individual
·  Project management experience leading cross functional project teams
·  Experience in a stakeholder service role such as category management, sales or supply chain
·  Relevant work experience related to procurement and business operations, supply chain, synergy analysis, cost assessments and/or operational restructuring
·  Superior negotiating skills and experience in working in a strategic environment
·  Experience performing complex analysis assignments
·  Strong leadership skills: collaboration, communication, influence, drive for results, effective planning / prioritization, project management
·  Strong verbal / presentation and written communications skills working in a complex organization
