Post Doc in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics/Data Analytics (m/f/d)

If this sounds like fun, we would love you to join our Digital & Data Sciences team to work on innovative approaches for high-dimensional omics data analysis to champion new targets, biomarkers and bring novel understanding of autoimmune disease development and mechanism of action of our drugs to address unmet patient needs.

Responsibilities:

·  Design experiments, analyse and integrate high throughput (sc)RNAseq datasets
·  Define and link expression signatures of single cells from patients to their pathogenicity status
·  Establish and test analysis pipelines for BCR repertoire analysis
·  Map crucial differences between autoreactive and non-autoreactive cells
·  Identify novel targets, biomarkers and therapeutic mechanisms
·  Create patient stratification rules using machine learning/deep learning methods
·  Stay up-to-date with novel analytical methodologies, tools and applications
·  Record, analyse and present results internally and to external academic collaborators
·  Participate in scientific meetings and prepare cutting edge publications

Requirements:

·  Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Computer Sciences or a related field
·  Proven expertise in handling, analysis and interpretation of omics data, ideally on a single-cell level
·  Working knowledge of a UNIX-based environment, ideally in the HPC setting
·  Programming skills (e.g. R, Python, Perl)
·  Hands-on experience and substantial understanding of omics databases
·  Knowledge of artificial intelligence/machine learning/deep learning methods
·  Understanding of Immunology is a plus
·  Strong analytical and organizational skills
·  Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
·  Proactivity and ability to work effectively both independently and in a cross-functional team
·  Fluency in English

The duration of the Postdoc position is 24 months and is based in Frankfurt, Germany.
