To provide effective legal counsel to assigned BFs or teams within a country, acting as a legal advisor and Business Partner, negotiating contracts, managing litigation and providing counseling on substantive area legal issues.
Including but not limited to: -Acts as a Business Partner in all activities relating to the contractual negotiations and company’s statutory obligations by substantiating recommendations and providing legal advice and assistance to the senior legal counsels/Head Legal. -Drafts basic transactions and contracts independently. -Advises on, and assists management decision-making regarding, contract and other risks relating to business activities and provides potential solutions therefor. -Provides expertise on local country law and legal conditions. -Manages disputes and litigation and/or investigations. -Provides support for Divisions not represented by legal resource within the country. -Manages relationships and monitors the work of outside counsel and legal experts. -Participates in the development, recommendation and implementation of Legal policies, procedures and guidelines. -Manages and supports activities regarding country compliance issues, such as anti-trust and regulatory. -Partners and liaises with external local counsel. Integrity and compliance -Works within Integrity and Compliance policies and counsels those around him/her do the same. -Works to foster a diverse and inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment.
