Validation Engineer joining our software maintenance team in order to verify the software either by coding or manul execution of test cases. The test role requires you to have a strong focus on robust and reliable applications in and out its explicit intended use. Thus you are expected to play a role in managing and understanding design aspects of the software solutions.

Main responsibilities

Software maintenance verification

Analysis of detected issues in order to elaborate the corresponding test plan

Design of test cases
Compose, execute and assess results of functional and non-functional tests according to the defined by the Test Strategy
Configuring and managing Test Environments
Reviewing requirements and specifications documentation to ensure clarity and testability
Plan, execute, evaluate and document system tests.
Identify and manage issues and provide recommendations to stakeholders.

Required skills

Engineering degree, Maths or Physics
Proven experience in software testing
Acquainted with agile development practices (especially Scrum)
Experience in software life cycle management tools (i.e.: TFS, Jira, HP ALM)
Fluent in spoken English

The following skills would be a plus

Practical work experience in laboratory diagnostics software

Proven experience using BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Specflow)
Acquaintance with software communication protocols
Experience on software non-functional testing
Certification in software testing (i.e.: ISTQB certified tester, CAT certified agile tester, etc.)
