Job Description

Role: Transport Supervisor

Purpose of role: To co-ordinate store deliveries by planning routes, managing hauliers, and ensuring all required preparation for departing hauliers is completed. Carry out administration duties and reporting tasks.

Reports to: Transport Manager
Location: Torija Distribution Centre, Spain

Key Responsibilities:
·  Manage Transport administrative & Planning duties for the site.
·  Manage scheduling and planning of the transport operation
·  Working in collaboration with the Warehouse Operation to deliver service to stores
·  Prebriefing and debriefing drivers arriving at Site
·  Challenging on any operational issues to ensure routes depart on time
·  Delivery of Transport Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
·  Ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
·  Make sure that suppliers' invoices arrive on time and in the correct form
·  Taking proactive measures to ensure EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards are upheld and proposing initiatives for continuous improvement
·  Facilitate effective communication with hauliers
·  Supporting the Transport Manager with daily duties when required
·  Ensuring all reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner
·  Escalating any transport related issues
·  Manage the team with leadership
·  Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
·  Educated to High School Level
·  Minimum 3+ years in Transport/Logistics industry
·  Experience in a supervisor position
·  Fluency in English. Other languages will be valuable
·  Good understanding of EU Drivers hours / legislation
·  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels
·  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
·  Strong analytical skills with the ability to highlight and challenge relevant issues
·  Strong team player who is confident and personable
·  Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
·  Workload planning
·  Problem Solving skills
·  Managerial skills to lead a team
