Job Description
The Clinical Application Specialists are deeply knowledgeable in the field of Surgical Ophthalmology being used by our customers and are dedicated to supporting those clinical efforts and improve the clinical efficacy outcomes. The CAS position is highly skilled and technical which relies heavily on training skills, understanding of the customer’s needs. It requires fluent and direct interaction with doctors and surgical teams. This requires clinical and technical knowledge of each of the Cataract and Refractive Suites equipment.
Major Accountabilities
1. Provide onsite basic clinical application training for customers on the use of new Surgical equipment installed to ensure the customer achieves a successful "start-up" of their system, guaranteeing safely and effectively use the equipment.
2. Conduct on site advanced clinical application training to ensure the customer can maximize surgical productivity & clinical outcomes.
3. Supporting & setting up of Customer Education Programs. Provide timely and accurate feedback/report to Clinical Training & Clinical R&D teams relating to product field performance including future design input
4. Support Clinical efforts at customer site via Clinical Support & Monitoring on surgery days, reviewing post-ops & patient follow-up and supporting clinical data collection for completion and compliance.
5 Ability to understand complex technical equipment, to recognize product problems, to analyze and communicate pertinent data relative to Clinical Training and Clinical R&D Teams.
6. Attend & support trade shows, fellowships, conferences, exhibits and seminars as requested.
7. Maintain an effective Quality System and comply with the requirements of the Quality Policy and documented processes to meet customer requirements and expectations.
Requisitos mínimos
Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry or Post Graduate Degree in Clinical Ophthalmology or Degree in Engineering with experience in Ophthalmic.
Fluent in Spanish and English (oral and written).
Ophthalmic experience is essential. Candidates with at least three (3) years of clinical applications experience required, preferably in refractive, cataract and femtosecond laser refractive surgery.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
