IT Solution Expert SAP / GTS

Your Role:

The principal purpose of this position is to implement global template and any required new processes on our global GTS system.

Analyze and agree the requirements with the business representatives, specify, configure, test, document and implement the solutions, applying standard functionality wherever possible.

·  Main contact for the Implementation of the US customs declaration in GTS (export and import).
·  Part of the Global roll out of GTS in Sap ERP S4 HANA: compliance, SPL, customs implementation for global projects, bonded warehouse in various countries, including preference processing set up for NAFTA and European Union.
·  Maintains Business Analysis, meets with key users to understand requirements, builds global process maps
·  Creates Design, builds blueprints and ensures global approach, uses standard functionalities whenever possible, creates functional specifications for development, validates specifications with key users, light system configuration)
·  Carries out Implementation, configures system, performs unit tests, ensures knowledge transfer to colleagues and other departments
·  Provides 3rd line Support, issues to be addressed within SLA, keeps ServiceDesk updated about changes and enhancements
·  Contributes to the development of functional strategy

 

Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
·  5+ years of SAP configuration for GTS

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Chemical Industry experience
·  Experience working in a complex global environment
·  Knowledge of Import and Export process in GTS in Europe / USA. Ideally, knowledge on the EU import and export processes and of the FTZ process in the US.
·  Knowledge of Bonded Warehouse functionality, Screening, Product Classification and Intrastat on GTS
·  Knowledge of R/3 / SAP4 HANA, SD processes
·  Knowledge on preference processing
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Discuss solutions and requirements with supervisor and users
·  Document solutions and configuration in technical documents
·  Create blueprint documents and process flow documents required
·  Clearly write Functional Specification documents
·  Ability to work with developers on Technical Specification documents, and contribute to training documents
·  Ability to set up Master data
·  Able to set up testing data as required and build testing scripts to validate work
·  Capable of working independently and as part of a team, as well as with offshore resources
