Mars Wrigley is looking for an External Supply Chain Analyst to work in Hackettstown, NJ. The role is responsible for converting the production plan into a feasible daily production schedule after Operations Planning hands off ownership. This role owns and is responsible for maintaining the schedule within the frozen zone and ensuring material availability at the External Manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities:
• Sequence production schedules that optimize schedule adherence and customer service.
• Proactively identify potential supply issues and communicate to External Manufacturing Manager and Planning in a timely manner.
• Revise schedules in response to unanticipated manufacturing or labor constraints. Communicate revisions to the impacted site(s).
• Make decisions in collaboration with Operations Planning on adjusting the schedules due to production over/under runs and changes in customer demand. Communicate adjustments to the impacted site(s).
• Actively contribute to and update FMOS (Factory Mars Operating System) Dashboard daily.
• Attend daily CMOS (Central Mars Operating System) for escalations when applicable.
• Prepare and facilitate weekly Operations calls with sites to communicate production schedules, discuss escalations and review inventory adherence.
• Participate in MPS (Master Production Scheduling) meetings with Operations Planning and External Manufacturing Managers.
• Co-ordinate and communicate necessary production schedule changes to Planning to assure most efficient scheduling of line trials, downtime for repairs, installations, holidays, inventory audits and changeovers.
• Complete steps in item workflow & item maintenance when applicable.
• Maintain adequate records of production for production planning purposes.
• Accountable for all finished goods production credit by Item/Quantity/Code Date. Reconcile discrepancies and communicate with RDCs, co-packing, co-manufacturing sites and service and finance.
• Conduct all SAP transactions for packaging receipts, production reporting, waste reporting and shipments.
• Order and schedule all raw and packaging materials to assure the continuous flow of all inbound raw and packaging, while minimizing non-quality costs, warehouse costs and write-offs of obsolete raw and packaging material.
• Monitor inventory adherence at sites and analyze information for trends and site performance.
• Drive process enhancements, either through new systems, additional functionality or process efficiencies.
• Displays a high degree of initiative and participation within the area towards meeting the area objectives.
• Continues to improve skills in area and update technical expertise.

The Supply Chain Analyst primarily uses SAP to convert, edit and communicate the rough cut production plan after planning hands off ownership. They are the main point of contact for information from the site to planning and vice versa. The Supply Chain Analyst develops and revises schedules to comply with manufacturing constraints and guidelines based on inputs from the site.

Qualifications
Minimum:
• High school diploma is the minimum requirement
• 2+ years related work experience in logistics, supply chain or manufacturing and/or 2 year technical degree.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time
• Successful completion of a drug and background screen
• High level of demonstrated computer end-user skills; i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary, as well as the ability to negotiate, persuade, and analyze.
• Ability to have strong relationships with line managers, senior operators, and other site leaders.

Preferred:
• An undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 2+ years of work experience as a materials planner, production scheduler, or related logistics/supply-chain function.
• Knowledge of finished goods schedule, line rates, pack mixes, plant capacities, seasonal trends, and promotional activities.
• Solid understanding of raw and packaging specifications, suppliers, and lead times.
• Knowledge and experience using SAP.
