Qualifications :

Function

The successful incumbent will be responsible to perform duties but not limited to Stock Control, Barman and waiter functions and perform other duties as per Marriott's standard operating policies and procedures

Required Experience & Qualifications

·  Minimum two years' experience in a similar position.
· 
Physically fit to perform manual labour

· 
Experience in Micros System

· 
Customer centric

· 
Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel and internet)

· 
Well groomed

· 
Professional and friendly Disposition

· 
Proficiency in English language

· 
Good financial skills

· 
Good communication and interpersonal skills

· 
Ability to work within a pressurized environment.

· 
Ability to work flexible working hours.

·  Attention to detail pertaining to area responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

·  Perform stock control functions (i.e. Check stock on hand, stock count and stock recording)
· 
Order required beverage stock as per function sheet

· 
Provide accurate meal account as consumed and process

· 
Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact and friendly verbal greeting, using the guests name when possible.

· 
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests

· 
Set tables according to type of event and services standards

· 
Answer questions on menu selections

· 
Communicate with the kitchen regarding the menu questions, the length of wait re-cook orders, and product availability.

· 
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen

· 
Record transaction in Micros system at time of order

· 
Check in with guest to ensure satisfaction with each food course and or beverages

· 
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day

· 
Complete opening and closing duties

· 
Address guests service needs in professional, positive and timely manner

·  Assist other employee to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service
