Job description

  MAJOR FUNCTION

Work closely with labs, Project Performance Managers (PPMs), Expert evaluation researchers and Expert evaluators to understand project objectives, identify project priorities and ensure deadlines are met for all tests in haircare, styling, and makeup/nail; and to ensure smooth operation for the Expert tests. Strategically support Product Evaluation Center testing with regard to volunteer recruitment and database maintenance, focusing on recruiting and scheduling volunteers for hair projects includes hair care, hair styling and hair color; and makeup/nail projects.

·  PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Logistical Operations

·  Responsible for Automated Research Communications System (ARCS) management:
·  Updates ARCS database and tracks volunteer participation pertaining to Product Evaluation Center technical evaluations;
·  Designs and executes ARCS study recruitment;
·  Recruiting volunteers via cold calling and scheduling for specific studies
·  Expands potential for Product Evaluation Center testing disciplines by implementing innovative ways to enlarge the database, and encourage volunteer participation  
·  Guides and mentors other ARCS users within the department and at all locations
·  Conducts volunteer consultations and administers patch tests when needed
·  Qualifies volunteers for participation in studies based on study criteria
·  Develops strong intra and inter-departmental relationships and fosters integration of knowledge across departments 
·  Leads weekly hair care/styling update meeting with hair labs to understand project needs 
·  Supervises receptionists in the Expert Team for daily operation and for ways of working alignment

Social Media Support

·  Recruits volunteers through L’Oreal Product Evaluation Center social media accounts
·  Serves as a Web Master for Tag Pro Instagram expert account

Department Support

·  Utilizes Actiview and project trackers to prioritize projects and resources; monitor the KPIs of Actiview for haircare/styling and makeup/nail, and share the information with the department head and Expert category leaders throughout the year
·  Assists on salon floor, when necessary
·  Schedules out meetings and time off for staff
·  Additional tasks as assigned
·  JOB REQUIREMENTS
·  Licensed cosmetologist with recent/current salon experience
·  2-4 years’ experience in consumer, professional or marketing research
·  High level of computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Product Evaluation related software
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of French, a plus
·  Interest in personal product industry and associated hair products/services
·  Excellent team player
·  Must be legally eligible to work in the US on an on-going basis
