We are recruiting for the position of an Audit Associate in the Audit Team. Working as an Audit Associate, your responsibilities will include:

· Reviewing financial statements of companies for their arithmetical accuracies, consistency across accounts, etc.

· Check accounts for their compliance with the relevant accounting standards

· Gain access to the UK Companies House Filings (registry for UK Companies) - extract data to corroborate evidences for information provided in the accounts.

· Prepare checklists to report errors to the onshore audit team to make necessary changes to the financial statements and ensuring the changes are incorporated in the next version before the accounts are signed/approved.

· Convert financial statements of UK and Irish companies in the iXBRL format by using a tagging software. (Training for this purpose along with IFRS would be provided).

· Accounts mapping and linking, post adjustments, using a software which enables in automated production of accounts.

· Prepare VAT returns for UK Companies.

· Timely communication with the onshore team on status of deliverables and handling onshore queries on work done.

Essential skills required

Education / professional qualifications / prior experience

· Bachelors degree in Commerce / Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting.

· Book-keeping experience would be beneficial but not essential.

· 0 - 1 year experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations

· Flexibility to adapt to a variety of work types, working hours and work environments
