Job description



The Marketing group is looking for an event Advisor (temporary) for its Montreal office.

Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Events, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and providing logistical support for events and other sponsorship activities. This opportunity offers exciting and varied challenges in a professional environment focused on client service excellence.

What you wil do:

• Coordinate various firm events (planning, needs assessment, invitations, managing different participants, etc.). Do a post-mortem after each event.

• Take part developing strategic plans for events.

• Draft promotional material and coordinate the production of all posters, programs, leaflets, invitations, thank-you letters, visibility plans, etc.

• Coordinate complementary services and activities, as required (accommodation and transportation of participants, signage, booths, audiovisual equipment, document printing, entertainment, etc.)

• Prepare schedules, follow-up as required and see to all logistical details in order to put on successful events.

• Negotiate fees with suppliers to ensure ongoing cost effectiveness.

• Design and implement a reward and recognition program for partners and suppliers.

• Assist the Marketing & Communications team in implementing strategic plans and in creating marketing collateral.

What you bring to the role:

• 3-5 years' experience in event management.

• Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French are required.

• Excellent judgment and proven ability to manage priorities.

• Availability and flexible schedules (variable working hours).

• Logistics and project management experience.
