Overview of The Opportunity:

Ignition Tax requires a Business Analyst to provide business analysis services for KPMG Canada's major Tax technology projects. The group's objective is to service the Firm in an effective and efficient manner in order to ensure that the delivered technology and business solutions are of high quality and consistent with the Firm's vision. The Business Analyst will work closely with business representatives and the technology teams to analyze, lead, develop, and deliver services in relation to integrating business applications or technology into our current environment.

What you will do:

·  Identifying, analyzing and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements

·  Key facilitator at various meetings such as: requirements kickoffs, workshops and validation, approval and training sessions, and other meetings as required

·  Business process re-engineering/modeling

·  Completing gap/fit analysis, including software application assessment/validation, create service level agreements

·  Data mapping, conversion documentation including detailed conversion strategies, and data migration

·  Liaise and coordinate with other teams including the client, the business, project management, operations, and IT to move requirements towards execution

·  Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements

·  Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management

·  Managing projects and developing optimization strategies

·  Assessing work requests to provide scope and effort estimates for BA services, developing work package plans, and executing work as planned

·  Contributing to the development and maintenance of processes, procedures, standards and tools for the BA service area

What You Bring to the Role :

·  Minimum of 2 years\u0027 experiencein a Business Analyst role

·  College or University Degree, preferably in a Business/ Computer related discipline

·  Takes ownership of their deliverables, who brings a business consultant mindset combined with clarity and speed of thought, who is able to build relationships with their stakeholders, and will get quickly up to speed.

·  Delivers value to clients by consistently providing high-quality service, translating technical applications knowledge into functional business terminology and vice versa

·  Ability to identify, understand and articulate client needs, generate opportunities, and suggest approaches for addressing issues

·  Experience with various analysis techniques including planning and facilitation of business process review sessions, gap/fit analysis sessions, and developer walkthroughs

·  Familiarity with a project management environment dealing with end-user, working effectively in a team-based environment with situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands

·  Ability to develop strong working relationships and to communicate effectively with clients, project team members, and end users

·  Solid and proven analytical, problem solving and coordination skills

·  Ability to prioritize work and managing changing/conflicting priorities
