Job description

Regional Airfreight Controller will look to mitigate any current/future Business Unit risks while establishing and following through on procedures designed to maximize current and future growth

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide support regarding QTR Rolling Forecast to all levels of organizational hierarchy
• Coordinate internal resources/data and proactively get involved in the yearly Target process and measurement
• Identify profitability improvement possibilities i.e. margin development via customer profitability and/or BO margin maintenance report and suggest + present improvement plans where the expectation is/will be consistent and constant follow up
• Analyze operational and administrative processes and suggest + document process changes together with operational management in case of inefficiency. With objective to align processes throughout the organization (business units and functional units) and increase effectiveness and efficiency
• Detailed Expense Analysis (i.e. temp labour development, local BO and/or warehouse cost)
• PL Analysis (i.e. trends regarding productivity, variance to RFC/Target, etc.)
• Constantly be on the lookout for potential risks (i.e. margin deterioration, over staffing , etc.)
• Understand the operational part of the Airfreight business enough to be able to challenge/assist operational departments and various levels of management
• Assist various levels of management with any/all queries regarding business health and trends (i.e. billing, GP, volume, etc.)
• Work closely with the FSL team to determine and better understand the “root cause” of issues (i.e. GP ageing , accrual accuracy, deferrals) within the FSL and apply added pressure/support as required
• Development of KPIs, ad-hoc reports, and new analysis's as required
• Support of Mexico/Canada in any/all business related issues/quires

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (financial preferred)

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in Finance and Controlling functions
• Operational and business “know-how” of Airfreight is highly preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & TRAITS

• High level of competence in Excel (pivot tables knowledge a must!)
• Understanding of Databases (a plus!)
• Controlling and Finance background
• Analytical skills
• Accuracy is vital
• Timelines upkeep
• Very structured
• Business Objects “know-how” (a plus!)
• ACON and SALog “know-how” (a must!)
• Organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, and a team player
• Strong personal drive and ability to think in different ways about a problem at hand
• Self-starter
• Ability to follow through from beginning to end
