Kuehne+ Nagel as part of their MOD contract have opportunities for keen individuals to work for an international logistics organisation located at MOD Donnington.

Your Role

To provide Business Continuity (BC) expertise to the Logistics Commodities Services (Transformation) contract as part of Kuehne + Nagel Aerospace & Defence (KNAD) business unit. Working as part of the KNAD Compliance Team to deliver a bespoke BC Programme. This includes delivering training and awareness to KNAD employees, developing documentation and processes in alignment with industry standards and best practice and providing support to local KNAD Management teams during an incident.

Your Responsibilities

· 
To provide BC expertise to the KNAD elements based at MOD Donnington and the Defence Fulfillment Centre. With support provided by the MOD Bicester BC Manager. Conduct business impact analysis activities for all site functions and buildings.

Provide BC support and advice to local management teams during an incident. Maintenance and exercising of site wide BC plans and Incident Management Plans and associated procedures in accordance with annual schedules and the BC Strategy.

· 
To support with the creation of the BC Policy and Strategy and track performance of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) using the industry standard Plan-Do-Check-Act model. Use provided templates to draft additional BC documentation as and when required.

Explore opportunities to expand and continually improve the BCMS. Contribute to the review of the Business Continuity Disaster Recovery Plans across Team Leidos. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure BC awareness remains high. To support the wider Compliance team with audits, reports or compliance checks as and when required.

Provide recommendations on remedial action plans to mitigate identified risks to service delivery. Manage the development and facilitation of BC training and awareness exercises and provide input in to customer training exercises. Provide input, support and liaison to functional areas on site in relation to their specific BC arrangements. Engage with multiple stakeholders in both Defence and the commercial supply chain.

Benchmark the KNAD BCMS against ISO 22301, identifying gaps and delivery methods in order to align with the standard with a view to achieving certification. Conduct all BC related activities in line with applicable processes and procedures.

To ensure all documentation remains up to date and compares to industry best practice. To support the creation of post incident reviews following an incident. Share ideas, initiatives and be prepared to work within an environment that encourages participation and good ideas.

Attend appropriate industry events to maintain and develop BC knowledge. Participate and attend meetings when required. Advise the Crisis Management Team if required.
