Job Description

As Hardware Sustaining Engineer, you will be in charge of leading and coordinate talent resources to drive critical problem at functional, electrical, manufacturing, and design level for Intel Server platforms and derivatives. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

- Drive technical issues and find the root cause of them debug.

- Execute and create functional test plans based on industry specifications and Intel tools that other Engineers can follow.

- Lead multidisciplinary team to find the root cause on functional problems.

- Understand what they are testing.

- Functionality, settings, and debug.

- Prepare and present test indicators and status to different forums.

- Execute and helping to define new tests needed based on Requirements documents.

- Design hardware and systems for Server products in DCG.

- Collaborate with other validation areas of Design, BIOS, System validation and another different team to support development and data collection and/or debug and/or analysis and/or documentation and/or reporting.

- Apply analog and digital electronic knowledge to execute a debug technical problems related board design.

- Help with development of automation in execution & debug by using your SW skills for programming and scripting.

- Working with Hardware validation engineer and Designers.

- Reviewing the procedures and methodologies for the areas listed previously in order to improve efficiency and find better tools and innovative validation strategies.

- Experience in debugging and analysis of electrical problems.

Desired profile

Qualifications

You must possess at least a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. If you have a Bachelor's degree, you must have at least 4 years of applicable job experience. If you have a Master's degree, you must have at least 3 years of applicable job experience.

- Knowledge of Intel Server architectures.

- Experience in problem-solving methodologies

- Understand the capability of modern test equipment.

- Knowledge of lab debugs equipment like Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, and In-Circuit Emulators.

- Good board level debug skills & the ability to analyze complex electronic circuits & systems.

- Self-motivation and be capable of keeping track with providing support to several programs simultaneously.

- Good written & verbal communication skills be capable of communicating with internal and external customers, and be a strong team player with customers.

- Have good presenting skills to tell in forums what they did and why tests passed, are blocked, or failed

- Acceptable fluency in the English language, both verbal and written.

- Strategic thinking and system design to implement tools and process changes that allow for incrementing verification and qualification efficiencies and which lead to maximizing the number of programs supported.

- Programming skills are required specifically on Verilog and VHDL is desired.
