This heritage and stylish property is one of the city's leading world-class hotels. Steps away is the vibrant Southbank, the Yarra River, the ever changing Docklands, leading tourist attractions, exclusive shops and boutiques and some of the best restaurants the city has to offer. Our cosmopolitan hotel is looking for a Part Time Bartender to join our team.

 

Your day to day

Under the supervision of the Food and Beverage team leader, and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotels Group Policies and Procedures, operates our Market Lane Bar and ensures that guest needs are satisfied.

Carries out effective beverage service by ensuring:

·  Beverages are up-sold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations
·  Converse with Guests about wine, advising the types and styles of wine, taking wine orders and serving wine
·  Promoting and selling cocktails to guests
·  Making and presenting cocktails
·  Coffee and tea is served hot and in accordance with standard
·  Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
·  Performs related duties and special projects as assigned

 

What we need from you

·  Previous experience working in bars; 
·  Cocktail knowledge and skills;  
·  Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
·  Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
