Your day to day

This role will ensure team properly sets up bar,  including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies.  Enforce pre- and post-shift side-work . Inspect bar daily for cleanliness and attractiveness and inspect all equipment and machinery for proper operation. Ensure bar team is properly cleaning surfaces and floor. Coverage of dining room supervisory duties in the absence of Restaurant Manager, and assist with all other F&B departmental needs where applicable. Ensure all staff is properly trained, and certified as required, and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Perform other duties as assigned.

What we need from you

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1-2 years restaurant or bar management experience in a full service outlet or similar setting.  Hospitality Management Degree, beverage certifications preferred, or some college preferred.  Must speak fluent English. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.

Experience with fine dining and premium cocktail bar operations required. Strong preference for candidates who possess Sommelier, Cicerone, bartending and spirit certifications. Ability to implement beverage concepts, manage beverage inventory and financials, and strong leadership skills required.

May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
