The Extreme Blue Programme is IBM's World Wide Premier Summer internship for talent and technology, design and business innovation, and is a way to discover new creative solutions to technical challenges. The internship runs for 12 weeks in the Summer.

As a technical student, this internship will give you the opportunity to work on an innovative technology project from an outside client or for an internal client. You'll build on your existing IT skills and learn new ones as well as teach others.

Your role as one of the technical interns in team of 4 will be to build, develop and improve an IT-based solution that meets the customers' needs. You will have the chance to work with leading edge technologies, be mentored by leading IT Professionals and learn new technologies, craft new applications and put a modern twist on an existing tool/idea.

During your 12 weeks you will present weekly updates to the Hursley Labs Community, learning from the Q&A sessions and improving your ideas as you travel through the 12 weeks.

You will find out how IBM and the IT industry work, how IT can contribute too or be used for the good of the community and also learn how to manage real customer projects.

You'll need to utilise your technical curiosity to design, architect, develop and test your product among your technical peers, while never losing sight of your customers and the end goal.

What we look for:

You'll need to be at a UK University and on target for a 2:1 honours degree.
You need to be studying for a technology related degree
You must also be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate degree course due to graduate in 2021.
Be authorised to work in the UK for the whole of the 12 week placement.
Have excellent communication and team work skills.

Please note the 12 weeks internship will be located at IBM Hursley Hampshire.

The assessment centre will be held on the 19 th and 20 th November.
