Job description

Position Purpose

To be a passionate host in all areas of the hotel, and be responsible for a high level of cleanliness and tidiness in the gym, changing rooms and pool areas, ensuring the safety and security of guests at all times.

 

Duties & Key Responsibilities

Being a Great Team Member

·        Come to work every day with a smile on your face

·        Be a reliable and motivated member of the Housekeeping team

·        Communicate clearly and constructively with team members in all areas of the hotel to help deliver great brand-unique guest experiences at our hotel.

·        Always deliver ‘fair share’ in team tasks and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily be heavy, this includes helping out in public area cleaning, F&B service and stewarding

·        Provide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts

·        Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required

·        Show interest in learning something new every day.

·        Participate positively in pre and post shift briefs and hotel team huddles and apply learning the next day

·        Volunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or TM committees

·        Execute duties as assigned by the Hotel Leadership team

·        Be open to acquiring new knowledge and skills in areas such as guest service, stewarding, kitchen or maintenance to be able to provide support to these departments where required, and at the same time improve chances of a faster career progression

 

Pool & Gym Specifics

·        Ensure the gym, changing rooms and pool area look tidy, clean and welcoming for our guests at all times

·        Organise your ‘work area’ in order to execute assigned tasks effectively & efficiently, and in line with our quality and service standards

·        Report areas for improvement or repair to your Line Manager or the Chief Host without any delay

·        Ensure gym is stocked up with water supply for guests, equipped with cleaning spray for equipment, and meets our CleanStay standards at all times

·        Provide immediate assistance to guests in need of help (first aid) in pool area, gym, guest changing & restroom facilities

·        Actively ask guests for feedback and look for areas of improvement when cleaning and communicating to guests in pool area, guest changing facilities or gym

·        Take time to be a great host and engage with guests in your areas of responsibilities (Gym, Pool Areas, outside changing rooms, corridors): Greet friendly and with a smile on your face, do a bit of small talk, ask for their feedback and enquire what you and your colleagues can do to make their guest experience an even better one!

  • First aid and CPR qualification
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to work in a consistently professional and helpful manner
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
