Role Summary/Purpose

The Facilities Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Intern will provide engineering support in a corporate engineering group that responds to and supports site infrastructure needs at GE Research.
Essential Responsibilities

Support senior engineering personnel in the design, development and selection of equipment, for capital infrastructure projects utilizing fundamental mechanical engineering principles, theories and techniques.
Performs specific technical assignments of investigatory, design, selection, re-visionary and application concerns, using basic engineering principles, theories and techniques.
Prepare charts, diagrams and reports expressing technical progress and accomplishments measured against specific plans.
Qualifications/Requirements

Actively Enrolled in an accredited college and or university in the field of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar area of study
GPA greater than 3.0
Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal)
Available and willing to flex work hours as needed to support emergency operational issues

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
Must be 18 years or older
