At EY Belgium Financial Services, we established a successful, growing Data and Analytics team, where we develop a unique set of advisory and delivery propositions aligned to the market, and provide exceptional service to our clients in the financial sector (banking, insurance).

 

Our services are in synergy with other EY teams, working on projects in core business operations, digital transformation, risk, actuary, cyber security, tax, legal, strategy and technology.

 

We operate mainly in Belgium, but we are part of an interconnected European network of 900+ specialized Data & Analytics consultants passionate about data, and using it in everything we do. Our innovative capabilities are showcased in our AI Center of Excellence, our big data & AI platforms, and our technology partnerships; these allow us to come up with next generation solutions, to build up our thought leadership in the financial industry, and to help our clients with their challenges.

 

We provide expertise and end-to-end delivery services in four core areas of competency:

·  Agile data engineering in traditional and modernized environments
·  Data quality and data governance, especially in non-regulatory business contexts
·  Reporting and business intelligence lifecycle in business transformation programs
·  Machine learning & artificial intelligence, deployed and embedded in real operational processes

 

The opportunity

 

We are looking for consultants with solid experience in business intelligence, including data modelling and data visualization, to work on a broad array of topics in the financial sector, ranging from risk management and financial reporting to sales management, and customer analytics.

 

 

Your profile

 

·  Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Economics, etc.
·  Relevant experience, between 2 – 5 years, in business intelligence, descriptive and exploratory data analysis and data visualization, across the entire project delivery lifecycle
·  Strong knowledge of data modeling approaches
·  Knowledge of some banking and/or insurance industry data models is a plus
·  Solid knowledge of, and hands-on experience with some of the following BI tools: Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, Qlik, Alteryx, SAP BusinessObjects, SAS
·  Experienced in using relational databases, SQL, and capable to design and prototype data blending workflows
·  Excellent communication, presentation and business and technical writing skills
·  Fluency in Dutch / French, proficient business English.

 

Your main tasks & responsibilities

 

·  Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into business requirements
·  Perform functional analysis and data modeling
·  Identify and analyze relevant data sources
·  Create reports and dashboards (data viz)
·  Perform/coordinate user acceptance testing and training
·  Oversee/manage overall project delivery cycle.
