Job Description

As the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) Assistant Director, you'll define and execute communications plans for strategic talent initiatives with a particular focus on driving and deploying these initiatives across the Asia-Pacific Area of the EY organization.

The role works closely with the BMC Asia-Pacific Talent team leadership to develop communications strategies, plans and materials to communicate to potential and current employees within the Area. This includes launching new programs, creating awareness, building the EY Talent brand, and developing relationships with key target stakeholders. It is also responsible for facilitating effective internal communication and change in support of the EY’s global strategy and business objectives. Additionally, the Assistant Director will be a part of the Global Talent BMC team so will have to work flexibly across all areas.

The candidate must be an excellent leader, writer, editor and confident relationship builder. S/he must be able to develop creative and effective campaigns; and be able to translate Global or Area Talent strategy into measurable tactics aligned with Talent goals. The incumbent is expected to provide strong counsel on communication strategies and will acquire the subject matter expertise necessary to be a strategic advisor on all areas of Brand, Marketing and Communications.

The role will also manage content development, channels and contribute to select events. It will also provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to members of the BMC team, and work closely and collaboratively with the Global and Regional BMC teams and Area Talent team for effective execution across Asia-Pacific.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

· 
Work closely with Talent leadership to work on critical internal communication programs and support effective implementation of the same

· 
Develop and deliver an effective internal communications strategy and plan to promote Talent initiatives and build the Talent brand across EY

· 
Appropriately position Talent programs across the organization - connecting and building relations with global/regional stakeholders in order to do so

· 
Define and deliver an impactful internal communications strategy, approach and tactical plan that builds alignment and understanding within the Talent team and across the organization

· 
Execute against the communications and marketing plans - identifying appropriate channels target audiences and developing the appropriate collateral

· 
Review and develop quarterly detailed tactical communications and activation plans

· 
To serve as the Area BMC central point-of-contact and ensure that both Talent and BMC understand BMC’s roles and responsibilities

· 
Work closely with key stakeholders within Talent to understand key priorities, objectives, key messages and change priorities – and provide related BMC support.

· 
Support development of messaging and position for new Talent initiatives

· 
Work closely with colleagues in the Global BMC and Regional BMC to ensure successful communication and greater engagement around various initiatives across geographic regions

· 
Work closely with Talent leadership on leadership messaging across geographies, service lines and sectors

· 
Produce engaging and informative content for Talent Leaders for use at key user and client events

· 
Act as trusted advisor to Talent leadership – providing ongoing strategic communications counsel and coaching on BMC related matters

· 
Develop and maintain Talent content across internal EY channels, including social media
Contribute Talent content to Regional collaterals as required

· 
Develop measurement and evaluation tools with reporting each quarter. Use metrics to inform communications and channel decisions.

· 
Liaise and work with in-house designers and editorial group for collateral and campaign development and communication related activities.

· 
Supervise overall coordination of all communications and marketing work between BMC, in-house designers, vendors and editorial groups

· 
Liaise with other members of the Global BMC team, as well as Regional BMC colleagues to share best practice and ideas

Experience

· 
10 -15 years of experience including internal/external communications and marketing with English speaking MNCs or similar

· 
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or public relations

· 
Experience managing and developing direct reports and junior staff; and working in a virtual team

· 
Knowledge of and skills in delivering contemporary marketing (including digital) and communication initiatives and measurement tactics

· 
Previous experience supporting major programs for large and matrix organizations

· 
Proven ability to develop and lead the implementation of communications plans
