Danone North America is looking for a HRBP Topline in Rockville.

The Human Resources Business Partner ('HRBP') works with business leaders to build leadership and organizational capability, and culture to enable the business unit to achieve its objectives. This includes accountability for consistent application of HR policies, processes and systems within the assigned functional area(s) within the business unit along with responsibility for alignment with Business Strategy, Talent Administration and Management, HR Administration, Regulatory Compliance, Compensation & Benefits, Leave Administration & Payroll, and Employee Programs/Social Objectives. Working in partnership with the VP, Human Resources and other business leaders, s/he will help transform the functional area(s) by generating insights, identifying needs, translating those insights/needs into requirements for the right HR solutions, co-developing solutions, and implementing/delivering the solutions. The HRBP will support the functional area(s) by providing Human Resources expertise, building leadership/organizational development, and acting as a liaison between the functional area and the corporate office and HR Business Services. This position can be located in our Rockville, MD office or be field based.

Objectives of the role

1. Business Partnership

·  Ensure consistent and correct application of HR policies and guidelines within the functional area(s).
·  Anticipate business needs by maintaining proximity to the business and thinking/acting in advance. Consider options and commit to achieve the objective.
·  Foster openness and trust throughout the business unit, as well as a collaborative mindset to act as 'One Team' with CBS teams

2. Talent Acquisition and Management

·  Build talent capability through the recruitment process, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
·  Facilitate and conduct on-boarding and exit activities for the assigned functional area(s) and the CBU.
·  In collaboration with functional leadership and other HR team members, implement HR practices, such as Annual Salary Review (ASR), performance development review (PDR) Process, and Talent Review, including but not limited to the calibration meeting.
·  Drive the Talent Review process for the assigned functional area(s). Host functional area(s) team development activities.
·  Challenge functional leadership during the various HR practices in a professional manner.
·  Support and coach team leaders in developing individual and team performance.
·  Share insights on individual/team skill gaps and development needs/desires with functional leader(s). Act as a resource and provide guidance to functional leader on addressing gaps/needs.
·  Identify critical succession roles and partner with functional leadership on action planning.
·  Help animate Danone's learning strategy, enable and facilitate 'One Learning a Day'.

3. HR Administration

·  Ensure that all operations comply with federal and local HR, health, safety, environmental/risk management legislation, as well as with company policies.
·  Provide advice, counsel and coaching to managers regarding personnel practices, policies, and labor/employment laws, including individual employee relations issues, performance management, discipline, grievance handling, and exit interviews.
·  Coordinate the on-boarding process for all new hires, including the coordination of training and meeting schedules, including coordination with HRSS, CBU and other departments.
·  Complete the Termination Checklist, Exit Interview and associated activities for all terminations. Analyze termination information and communicate pertinent information to VP of HR.
·  Regulatory Compliance
·  Ensure that all operations, policies and procedures within the functional area(s) comply with federal and local HR, health, safety, environmental/risk management legislation as well as with company policies (COBRA, DOL, ERISA, FMLA, and OSHA). Complete required associated reporting and conduct period audits.

5. Leave & Payroll Administration

·  Communicate with functional leadership regarding employee leaves. Work with the CBS on the administration of FMLA, Parental Leave, and other leave programs in coordination with leave management vendor.
·  In coordination with manager, manage absenteeism actions and time administration.
·  Lead new employee contract management, when applicable. Qualify contract type, manage transfer employee details, drive coordination of transfer between CBUs, and ensure all paperwork is signed and executed.

6. Employee Programs/Social Objectives

·  Implement/ensure application of Health & Safety working conditions.
·  Conduct internal investigations into concerns, complaints or other claims as required by the VP, HR.
·  Act as employee point of contact for NORAM Cluster and global engagement programs, as needed.

7. Overall HR Team Contributor and Performance

·  Develop a strong network within CBU & CBS.
·  Collaborate with Cluster on performance programs by adapting, discussing and co-building relations with CBS, as needed.
·  Support HR special projects as needed.

8. Other duties as required.

Targeted profile

·  Bachelor's degree required.
·  SPHR or PHR or other Human Resources certification preferred.
·  Strong background in business preferred.
·  4 - 6 years of HR Generalist experience.
·  Previous experience managing a complex change effort and project management.
·  US experience.
·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
·  Fluent in English, written and oral.
·  If currently employed, must be in good standing and have consistent demonstration of satisfactory performance.
