Retail development Manager

Location: Heathrow Airport + South & South West Airport/Ship Locations (90%+ in the field )

Reports to: Head of Sales - Travel Retail

Contract: Permanent

Your role @Chanel:

Reporting into the Head of Sales your role at CHANEL is to manage all aspects of your allocated CHANEL Fragrance and Beauty accounts. Driving sales performance and overall contribution from your teams. Creating an empowering environment with heavy focus on developing your teams through inspirational leadership and education. As Retail Development Manager you would pro-actively identify new business opportunities, fostering strong working relationships with Retail partners and key stake holders within CHANEL. Promoting business objectives as appropriate and ensuring you work with the wider UK sales team to achieve personal and collective targets. You will regularly engage with clients to ensure they have the most memorable experience with CHANEL and act as an ambassador for the brand.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

·  You will nurture and grow a motivated and high performing team of Managers & Consultants
·  Full oversight of service, delivering team coaching and education to ensure our Clients have the most luxurious experience with CHANEL.
·  Play an integral part in the delivery of CHANEL sales & commercial objectives.
·  Forge productive and lasting relationships with Retail partners such as Store/Perfumery Managers & Buyers along with Airport Authorities. Negotiating sales & commercial opportunities whilst always protecting our brand image.
·  Work closely with our Retail & Training Managers to create & deliver a retail calendar plan, managing Marketing & Commercial priorities.
·  Achieve consistency across the Travel Retail division by clearly communicating and working in partnership with peers and sharing/adopting best practices.
·  Take ownership of your accounts in their entirety and manage the day-to-day operations
·  A thorough understanding of Airport/Airline operations and optimising performance through Destination sales drivers.
·  Drive operational excellence with sustainability always in mind.

What you will bring to the role:

·  Extensive experience in people/sales management in fast-paced luxury/beauty retail or FMCG environment
·  Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with other departments and senior management
·  Ability to build relationships quickly and create a team spirit, with a flair for collaboration
·  Self driven, with ability to manage your own schedule
·  Ability to negotiate with professionalism and tact, seeking win/win outcomes
·  A personal passion for creating a memorable client experience
·  A highly motivated and committed approach, with a self-starting attitude
·  You will bring with you experience of working with a large team including managing managers.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft 365 – In particular Word, Excel & Powerpoint
·  Be able to obtain Airside Security passes at all required Airports. 5 Years of satisfactory referencing and a clean DBS check alongside GSAT ( General Security Awareness Training )
