Job description

As a financial planning analyst , you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and executing financial strategies with the objective of optimizing the performance and efficiency of available financial resources. This role involves working closely with finance, accounting, operations, and management teams to understand and improve financial processes and decision making. 

Key Responsibilities  

Financial analysis  

· 
Perform detailed analysis of financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow, to identify financial trends, opportunities, and risks.  

· 
Coordinate the development and implementation of Business Intelligence in the company for deeper analysis and better decision making.  

· 
Participate in the definition of needs and verifies the effectiveness of the tools and gives continuity to the application of the tools.  

· 
Follows up on the development of requirements by all users.  

Forecasting and budgeting  

· 
Assist in the preparation of short- and long-term financial forecast, as well as the preparation of annual budgets and strategic financial plans.  

· 
Coordinates the elaboration and compilation of information with the areas.  

· 
Obtains authorization of the final budget.  

· 
Monthly controls the correct application of the budget.  

· 
Coordinate and participate in the preparation of quarterly, annual, and special forecasts to adjust the annual plan to developments during the year.  

· 
Define a calendar for the collection of information with the areas.  

· 
Consolidate the information, analyses and present the results. 

Financial modelling  

· 
Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess financial performance, the impact of strategic decisions and the viability of investment projects.  

· 
Create and maintain a strategic relationship with Marketing and commercial areas to generate synergy and become a financial business partner, maintaining open and constant communication to facilitate the level of service.   

  Investment evaluation  

· 
Assess the profitability and risk of new investments, projects or business initiatives using financial valuation techniques such as sensitivity analysis, net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR)  

· 
Compiles financial and economic information on the country and the industry.  

· 
Analyses variables and trends, as well as their impact in the company and generates recommendations.  

Process optimization  

· 
Identify and propose improvements to financial and planning processes to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs. 

· 
Ensure the implementation of TCCL projects in a timely manner to meet the commitments made to corporate.  

· 
Work together with the corporate and the areas involved to understand the information needs and developed the solutions.  

· 
Gives continuity to the application of the tools.    

Reporting and presentations  

· 
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and special financial reports to verify compliance with final objectives and executive presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.  

· 
Determines the achievement of objectives.  

What are we looking for?  

· 
Educational Background: Bachelor´s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration. 

· 
Analytical skills demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and perform accurate forecasting.  

· 
Advanced knowledge of financial analysis tools and software (Excel, financial planning software)  

· 
Communication skills, excellent verbal and written to present financial reports clearly and persuasively to different audiences, including senior management and external stakeholders.  

· 
Ability to think strategically and propose innovative solutions to financial and business challenges.  

· 
Detail oriented, meticulous attention to detail and ability to work accurately in high pressure, deadline- driven environment.  

· 
Experience collaborating and building relationships across cross-functional teams, developing and empowering people and being culturally sensitive.  

· 
Curiosity in the form of personal flexibility resilience and continuous learning mindset.  

· 
Fluency in English & Spanish is a must have, French is a plus.
