DESCRIPTION

Come and join the team that is building new AWS services that will be trend setting in AWS by offering AWS-managed relational databases on customer's on-premises network. Our vision here is to offer capabilities of our battle-tested relational database services to customer's on-premises networks and build innovative capabilities that bridge the gap between customer's on-premise network and AWS cloud. We will be the first service to foray in this domain and will set a path for other AWS services to follow.

The ideal candidate will have a deep technical knowledge of and hands-on experience with VMware technologies such as ESXi, NSX, and vSAN. As part of engineering team, you will develop and automate our test plans. You must be able to configure and manage our VMware infrastructure to ensure we can test our product against typical customer deployment scenarios. You must have excellent troubleshooting skills related to VMware technologies. You must have good written and verbal communication skills to help customers using the product and to train the team on VMware technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Expert level experience with data center networks and network topologies
· VMware professional level certification (VCP, VCIX, VCDX)

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
· 5+ years hands-on, technical experience working with VMware technologies e.g., ESXi, NSX, and vSAN
· 2+ year experience building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments
· 2+ year experience in at least one programming language - Python, Java, Perl, Ruby
· Excellent troubleshooting skills related to VMware technologies
· Strong verbal and written communications
