DESCRIPTION

Amazon is hiring a Buyer - Procurement Business Analyst with strong Analytics Skills to be based in our corporate offices in Prague. As member of our EU Ops Procurement team you support the EU procurement and business teams by delivering operational purchasing tasks and assignments.

SCOPE:
Working in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible for monitoring key success metrics, identifying problem areas and business challenges and collaboratively shaping solutions with category and business teams to help with optimizing the Procurement processes ans strategies. The successful candidate has a passion for extracting actionable insights from data. The candidate needs to innovate, and quickly become a subject matter expert to assess business performance across regions and market segments. The candidate is passionate working with customers, analyzing data, identifying trends, extracting conclusions, and presenting findings in a simple and clear manner. The candidate enjoys problem solving and is proficient using Excel and other tools to analyze large data sets.

REPORTING TO: EU Procurement Leadership

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create organization’s reporting metrics deck and craft performance metrics for various teams. Own and partner with cross-functional teams to influence these metrics
· Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and data quality investigations. Use Amazon’s tools to problem solve and validate solutions
· Build forecasting models for planning based on past data trends, including developing reports from ERP for key insights
· Recommend business actions based on analytical findings, define new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve performance
· Providing support to senior business analysts.
· Work in full compliance with the company Spending and Transaction policy
· Ensuring a robust procure-to-pay process. Support Kaizen and continuous improvement projects
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

· Meet service level agreements (SLA) for standard tasks
· Achieving assigned project targets / objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS:
· Strong background working with Data, Business Intelligence reporting, creating dashboards and presenting findings
· Strong experience with gathering requirements using a range of techniques
· Experience working closely with key operational stakeholders to understand the wider business objectives and how quality data solutions can make a positive impact
· Fluency in English (written and spoken) - knowledge of other EU language(s) is an advantage
· High precision in verbal and written communication
· Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations
· Previous experience in Purchasing or shared service centers advantageous
· Experienced in MS Office – in particular MS Excel
· Self-motivated
· Excellent analytical skills, logical and structured thinking, creative in problem solving
· Superior personal and interpersonal attributes (e.g. communication and soft skills, ability to work in a team, results-oriented and a performance-oriented work style, creativity, entrepreneurial qualities, personal maturity)
· Ambitious, motivated, high energy personality, with collaborative personality
· Excellent communication skills both oral and written, capable of interaction at all levels in a company
· High level of integrity and reliability
· Show self-initiative in performing research and obtaining needed data
· Experience with e-commerce, retail, supply chain, or finance would be an advantage

EDUCATION:

· University degree (e.g. Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.), last year of master's studies or fresh graduates
· Work experience advantageous
