F3 is searching for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) who is passionate about data, analytics, and automation. Our team, Retail Business Intelligence (RBI), seeks to Invent & Simplify solutions to problem statements across Instock/Vendor Management, Selection, Pricing, Delivery Experience, and more. We leverage our deep knowledge of data ETLM, reporting/visualization, time series forecasting, causal inference, and industrial organization to help our stakeholders tell the most complex, data-based stories that illuminate past performance and future opportunity.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to touch every aspect of our business from purchasing product to delivering to our customers. You will partner with talented BIEs, Business Analysts, Economists, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers. You will apply your knowledge of big data ETLM, statistics, and scripting to deliver a better service for our customers. This role demands a high capacity to Learn and Be Curious as we need to be constantly adapting to changes in our business and be up to speed on the latest systems, tools, and techniques for extracting, processing, analyzing, modeling, and taking action on data.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
· Learn new BI, Retail, and Ops systems such that you can meaningfully support process innovation using automation techniques
· Engage stakeholders in constructive dialogues to convert business problems into logic problems that can be solved with data, statistics, and scripting
· Design, develop, and implement scalable, automated processes for data extraction, processing, and analysis
· Partner with Economists and Data Scientists to support complex statistical analyses and productionize forecasting and causal inference models
· Mine insights and tell compelling business analysis stories

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or related field
· 3+ years of relevant professional experience working with data and applying analytics
· Excellent communication (verbal/written) and data presentation skills and demonstrated ability to successfully partner with business and technical teams
· Basic/Intermediate proficiency in programming language (e.g., Python) for automation of data extraction/processing, statistical computation, and/or web scraping
· Demonstrated ability to work with business and technical partners to define requirements and deliver against complex business questions
· Advanced SQL knowledge for ETLM operations
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment
