DESCRIPTION

The Amazon IN third-party marketplace team is looking for a highly driven, customer-obsessed application engineer. You will be responsible for building web based applications/tools and configuring data platforms to help data engineering, reporting and analytical operations scale to meet data demands of a large stakeholder base. You will interact with Software development, data and BI engineers on a day-to-day basis to understand the data and technological needs , build tools leveraging AWS and other leading web building technologies and be an integral part of creating a better customer and seller experience.

Key Responsibilities:
· Build web based applications to handle data, build reports and derive analytics primarily helping BIE team
· Reactively and proactively developing and executing analyses that provide important insight into the business
· Designing and implementing self-service applications/tools that enable stakeholders to manage data and reports to make effective decisions
· Monitoring existing metrics and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Track record delivering front-end software that is correct, stable, high performance, secure, and accessibility compliant.
· Basic knowledge of SQL, Data modeling and ETL
· Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new UI component and evaluate technical feasibility
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
· Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3 + years of relevant experience in Computer science or IT Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
· Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)
· Skilled in developing rich applications with HTML, CSS, JS
· Skilled in a server-language – Java/Python/NodeJS
· Familiar with JS Frameworks like React, Angular, Vue are brownie points
· Communicate clearly and concisely both written and orally
· Strong insights on Oracle, Redshift, MS SQL server DBs/related DBs
