Prime Video is changing the way people watch movies and TV shows, offering a variety of ways to instantly stream and watch videos. Customers can rent or buy more than 250,000 new release movies, next-day television shows, and classic favorites, or with an Amazon Prime membership, customers can have unlimited access to thousands of titles for no additional charge, including award-winning Amazon Originals like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Goliath and Tumble Leaf.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Prime Video Catalog and Operations organization, supporting Catalog Coverage. The ideal candidate will be excited about using data to understand and improve the customer experience for Prime Video streamers. She/he will be curious and comfortable digging deep into data to understand availability and consumption of content and programs, identifying insights that will enable us to expand the impact of our catalog investments and initiatives.

The BA will have to set the right vision, strategy and roadmap and work alongside teams in the organization to make it happen (with key stakeholders in Business Intelligence and Product Management and Program Management). The ideal candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, and can partner with business leaders to answer key business questions.

Key responsibilities include:
· Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing Catalog metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards on the key drivers of our business
· Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve marketing campaign targeting and measurement
· Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
· Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale
· Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks
· Analyze historical and customer segmentation data to identify trends and insights
· Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
· Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
· Certification in process excellence (PMI, PMP)
· Experience in developing propensity models to predict customer behavior
· Experience working with remote stakeholders and global teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Finance, or related discipline
· 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
· Proficient in using SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse solutions and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
· Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
· Analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get things done and deliver results
· Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner; familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
· Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
· Superior verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external organizations
